Purpose: This program provides an introduction to the basics of computer networking.

Admission Requirements: Students who meet the admission requirements to the College are eligible for enrollment into the program. Individuals are expected to be proficient in basic English, mathematics and reading. Appropriate developmental courses are available for those who need to update their skills.

Program Description: The Networking Technologies Career Studies Certificate includes courses in networking fundamentals such as routing and switching. Local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) are discussed.

Employment Outlook:
Jobs should be plentiful in the computer industry, including those in networking, basic repair, sales, and more. Support technicians help and advise users, and help to maintain computer systems. As organizations expand/upgrade computer equipment, more support services will be needed.
