Purpose: This program introduces students to the principles used in the integration of renewable energy devices and systems. The technologies are used in a variety of residential, commercial and industrial settings.

Admission Requirements: Students who meet the admission requirements to the College are eligible for enrollment into the program. Individuals are expected to be proficient in basic English, mathematics and reading. Appropriate developmental courses are available for those who need to update their skills.

Program Description: This Career Studies Certificate introduces students to topics such as energy management, solar power, wind energy, and hybrid systems. A look at renewable energy versus fossil fuel reliance is provided.

Employment Outlook: The outlook for job openings should be very good for technicians who have the necessary skill sets. Technicians will be needed for installation and maintenance of systems.
